Rivic — Born from Berlin, Built for the Future

Every startup has a beginning — some are born out of market gaps, some from investor decks, and some... from pure obsession.

Rivic wasn't designed on a whiteboard or inside a corporate office. It was born out of late nights, questions without easy answers, and one engineer's passion to explore a future where AI, Blockchain, and Quantum computing aren't just trends — but real challenges demanding stronger security.

Hackathons: Where Ideas Meet Reality

Rivic's story doesn't start with funding. It starts with people, curiosity, and the rush of hackathons: EthBerlin, Cardano, Radar, Web3 Summit — each one stretched Rivic from an idea into something that had to survive real-world testing.

But a real turning point came when I met Yannick Schrade, CEO of ArciumHQ, who shared advice that still echoes: "You should join SuperTeam Germany."

That one suggestion became the catalyst. SuperTeam Germany welcomed Rivic into a community of builders who didn't just cheer ideas — they sharpened them. Their mentorship gave me the tools and the right focus to refine the project and successfully submit Rivic to the Radar Hackathon.

This wasn't just another submission; it was proof that Rivic could move beyond passion into purpose.

From Concept to Prototype

In February, Rivic took its next leap, joining the Berlin School of Incubator. Here, under the guidance of startup mentors, the project matured into a working prototype — not perfect, but real, functional, and ready for critique.

But I wasn't done learning. Driven by hunger for deep technical excellence, I contacted Prof. Dr. Jean-Pierre Seifert from TU Berlin, one of the leading voices in Hardware Security Modules and Side-Channel Attack Research.

The reply from him wasn't just encouragement; it was the start of an exchange that pushed me to reimagine Rivic's architecture beyond code — to the hardware level. His insights set a new bar for what Rivic had to become.

The First Pitch: From Cybersecurity to National Defense

On March 6, Rivic stepped into a new arena: Bundeswehr Cyber Innovation Hub, at the European Defense Tech Hub event. Standing in front of security experts and defense insiders, I pitched Rivic not just as a project, but as a solution for tomorrow's threats.

That day wasn't about slides or startup jargon — it was about showing why proactive security can no longer wait.

Later that month, at PTB's Future of Quantum Computing for Industry event on March 24, Rivic entered a new layer of discussion — post-quantum security.

I shared Rivic's vision with mentors, researchers, and industry leaders who, like me, believe that the future is closer than we think. Quantum computing will change the rules, and Rivic is determined to be ready for it.

Web3 and Beyond

April 1 marked another milestone: Rivic's submission to SPRIN-D, the German federal agency that backs disruptive innovation. This wasn't about buzzwords — it was about proving that security could still surprise people with fresh thinking.

And just three days later, on April 4, Rivic moved deeper into the blockchain space, submitting its application for the Solana Blockchain Grants — extending its mission to secure decentralized systems at scale.

Rejection: The Fuel Nobody Talks About

Like every honest startup, Rivic hit the wall too. Applications to accelerators like Reaktor, Web3 Fund, and Silicon Allee were all met with rejections.

But every "No" taught me more than any "Yes" ever could. Each rejection was a quiet reminder: "You haven't earned it yet — keep building."

Rivic isn't just another security product. It's a mindset. Built to defend the technologies shaping tomorrow: AI, Blockchain, and Quantum systems — all growing fast, all needing security that can grow faster.

From hackathons to defense hubs, from side-channel research to quantum conversations — Rivic has always believed in one truth:
